YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Explore our comprehensive FAQ section to find answers to common questions about this product. Get the information you need to make your experience with us smooth and hassle-free!

1. How is VELOCITY different from Rejuvenator or Accelerate?

Rejuvenator is designed for rotary application only, Accelerate has minimal cut. VELOCITY is more versatile and can be used with a rotary, a dual action orbital or by hand, and will cut better than Accelerate with a longer working time.

2. Do I have to use VELOCITY indoors or in the shade?

No, VELOCITY can be used in direct sunlight. We recommend on very hot days or when possible, to use in the shade, but great results are expected either way.

3. What pad do I need to use?

With a rotary or an orbital machine, a medium or light cut foam pad works best. However, if more correction is needed you can scale up the pad to a heavy duty foam for more correction.

4. Do I need to use a specific brand of tool or pad?

The beauty of VELOCITY is that it is very versatile. You can use any tool you’re comfortable with. We recommend testing different types of pads to dial in the preferred results you’re looking for, and keep in mind different paints allow for different levels of correction.

5. Do I need to remove the product immediately after buffing?

No, VELOCITY will not become difficult to remove the longer it sits. It will easily remove even 30-60 minutes after application.

6. Will it stain my plastic trim?

In most cases VELOCITY will not stain rubber or plastic if removed quickly. However, any compound or wax can stain if not removed, and if a buffer has pushed into it. Not all plastics and rubber have been tested, so it’s best practice to avoid or tape them off.

7. How exactly does a one-step work?

Not all one-step products are the same. VELOCITY has abrasives that can cut up to P3000 sand scratches, while also filling in sand scratches or swirls, leaving a surface that appears to be refined and also protected and enhanced with a unique wax blend.

8. How often should I use VELOCITY?

Because there is a paint correction, cutting abrasive element, VELOCITY should only be used once or twice a year as a medium cut one-step. If only light correction or protection is desired, you can use a soft polish pad 3-4 times per year, but keep in mind every time you use a correction compound it removes a percentage of your paint/clear coat. Velocity can be supplemented with traditional waxes or a quick detailer like SLIK or Showroom Shine in between applications.

9. Can I use it on my ceramic coated vehicle?

You can use VELOCITY on a ceramic coated vehicle, however depending on the age and quality of the coating, it will remove 25-75% of the coating.

10. Can I coat my vehicle with a ceramic coating after I’ve used VELOCITY?

It is not recommended, because VELOCITY leaves a bonded layer of wax, preventing a ceramic coating from bonding to the paint properly. Use EPIC compounds for the paint correction step instead.
