Malco Automotive partnerships, sponsorships, and community engagement
Malco Products, Inc. founder Murray Glauberman dedicated his life to his business, industry, and his community. He instilled a strong foundation of hard work, partnership, community engagement, and service at Malco that continues to be valued today. Today, we stand as a small but mighty team that works together to support various organizations within our community and the automotive industry.
Malco Community Involvement
At Malco, we understand that it feels good to do good, and we encourage our employees to help in our community daily. To support community engagement, Malco offers employees a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We also maintain an open-door policy for employees to bring new volunteer opportunities to our attention and request donations for organizations they are passionate about.
As a company, we invest our dollars, time, and voice to make the greatest impact possible for our community. In 2021, Malco was selected by Smart Business Magazine and Medical Mutual as a Pillar Award Honoree for outstanding contributions to the Northeast Ohio community. During the 2021 calendar year, Malco and our employees contributed money, time, or voice to more than 30 charitable organizations in the Northeast Ohio community. A few examples of the organizations near and dear to our hearts include:
-
Akron Canton Regional Foodbank - Each year, Malco supports the Akron Canton Regional Foodbank through cash donations and a canned food drive. During the pandemic, Malco also manufactured over 200 cases of hand sanitizer to donate to local citizens in need.
-
United Way of Summit County - Each fall, Malco employees participate in the United Way's Stuff the Bus program and help fill backpacks for Akron and Barberton area school children.
-
Barberton School District's - Hope for the Holidays - Like an adopt-a-family program, Hope for the Holidays allows employees to make the holidays great for local families in need.
-
Habitat for Humanity - In the summer of 2022, Malco employees will have the opportunity to participate in a Habitat for Humanity build for a local Barberton family. The company will also be filling the family's pantry as a welcome home gift.
In addition to the volunteer and donation opportunities available to employees, the Glauberman family members also sit on the boards of the United Way of Summit County, the Jewish Community Board of Akron, the Akron Children's Museum, and Project Outrun.

At Malco, we believe that being part of an industry isn't just about supplying products. Motorsports sponsorships
Malco Automotive's history with racing dates to the late 1950s, when Malco founder Murray Glauberman agreed to be the primary sponsor for "Ohio George" Montgomery and his 1933 Willys race car. Malco continued to sponsor George throughout his career as a seven-time U.S. Nationals Drag Racing winner and was honored to attend his induction into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2021. Through our relationship with George, Malco Automotive became the Official Detailing Products of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America.
Malco's sponsorship of the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America puts Malco Automotive detailing products in front of more than 1 million visitors each year. The MSHFA uses Malco Automotive detailing products to clean and maintain all of the permanent and special exhibits. We are honored that the museum trusts Malco's quality enough to use it on some of the most famous cars in racing history. If you are ever in Daytona, stop in and take a tour. We promise you won't regret it.
In addition to the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, Malco Automotive is also the Official Detailing Products of NASCAR cup team Live Fast Motorsports and Xfinity team BJ McLeod Motorsports. Malco's relationship with Live Fast Motorsports started in 2021 when owner Matt Tifft reached out to Malco, president Seth Glauberman, a long-time friend of his mothers, and asked him to donate some detailing products to his up-and-coming race team. Seth was happy to help Matt, and as the relationship developed, both parties found mutual ground for supporting their growing businesses. Matt, BJ, and their entire team trust Malco Automotive products to get their cars race-ready every weekend from February to November. Supporting owner Matt Tifft and owner-driver BJ McLeod in their race to victory lane is a true honor to the entire Malco organization.
Mid-Ohio racetrack is a right of passage for all Ohio-based racing fans. From sports car racing to the driving school to the annual NASCAR Xfinity race, Mid-Ohio brings together the best in the Ohio automotive industry, and Malco is proud to be part of the legacy. As the Offical Detailing Products of Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Malco donates the winner's circle buckets for driving school participants and provides give-a-ways for the car corrals at different events throughout the racing season.
