1. Why is there a new version of the Iron Blaster formula?
We set out to create the most effective iron remover in the industry with Iron Blaster, however, with the best performance came the most potent smell as a byproduct. So, we reformulated it to be lower odor and more user friendly.
2. What are the differences between version 1 and 2?
Version 2.0 has a much lower odor, while it still has a pungent scent, it’s greatly reduced over version 1 and will not be offensive. Version 2.0 has a pink hue and thicker viscosity. Both of these features help you see where you’ve sprayed and help cling to the surface longer, allowing more working time.
3. Will the new version work as well as the original, since you removed the smell?
Yes, the new formulation has a better combination of iron dissolving ingredients to perform as good or better than the original.
4. Will Iron Blaster 2.0 still change color where it’s working like the original?
Yes, the color change is still dramatic, however it’s more of a dark red vs deep purple.
5. Will the original Iron Blaster still be available?
No, once Iron Blaster 2.0 is readily available, version 1 will be discontinued.
6. Is the new version still safe on all exterior components of the car?
Yes, Iron Blaster 2.0 is safe on OEM paint, glass, plastic trim and wheels.
7. Are the use instructions different?
No, Iron Blaster 2.0 will be used the same way to remove iron contaminants, metallic brake dust and acid rain fallout and will brighten paint and wheels.
8. Can Iron Blaster 2.0 be diluted?
Yes, while it is designed as a ready-to-use formular, you can diluted it up to 1:1 for effective results.
9. The directions state to not to let it dry, will it harm paint if I do?
Generally speaking, Iron Blaster 2.0 will not harm paint, however any time a chemical dries on a surface and potentially gets baked by the sun, it could cause staining. It’s best to keep it wet until you’re ready to rinse off.
