1. How is SLIK different from EPIC CR2 or Showroom Shine?
While SLIK has SiO2 in the formula, which adds slickness and hydrophobicity, CR2 is a true ceramic spray coating with longer durability and bond. Showroom Shine is our tried-and-true quick detailer, but neither of these products are designed to be applied wet and act as a drying agent the way SLIK was designed.
2. What is the difference between installing wet vs. dry?
SLIK can be sprayed onto a clean and wet vehicle and used to help dry the car while leaving behind a slick hydrophobic layer as you wipe it in with a clean microfiber towel. When SLIK is applied to a clean dry vehicle the longevity of protection and water repellency increases.
3. Is SLIK safe for ceramic-coated vehicles?
Yes. It will even help the longevity of the initial ceramic coating. However, SLIK is not a replacement for EPIC CR2, which is a true ceramic refresher.
4. How often should I use it?
You can use SLIK every time you wash your vehicle. The more often it’s used the better the durability and hydrophobicity.
5. Is SLIK safe on all vehicle exterior elements?
Yes, SLIK can be used on paint, glass, plastic trim, rubber and wheels.
6. Can I use SLIK on the interior?
While SLIK was not designed for interior applications, it can be used on interior hard surfaces, such as plastics, smooth metal and interior painted areas.
7. If I just spray SLIK on and rinse it off, will it last?
SLIK works best when worked into the paint. It will leave behind a percentage of protection if simply rinsed off but will not last very long unless a microfiber is used to buff until dry.
