Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course & Driving School
Since 2004, Malco has proudly served as the official detailing partner of the legendary Mid-Ohio racetrack, focusing specifically on the Mid-Ohio Driving School. Each year, the school imparts training to novices and amateur racers and conducts teen driving courses. As the designated Official Detailing Products provider for the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Malco contributes winner's circle prizes for driving school participants and offers giveaways for the car corrals during various events throughout the racing season. Additionally, Malco supplies top-quality products to ensure the school's fleet of cars maintains a polished appearance year-round.
The International Soap Box Derby®
Headquartered in nearby Akron, Ohio, The International Soap Box Derby® is a world-famous youth-based gravity racing series promoting STEM-based education and leadership. Since 2009, Malco Automotive has proudly partnered with the derby to encourage youth to maintain the appearance of their cars while achieving top speeds and in steadfast support of the organization's mission. By fostering the intersection of education and racing excitement, Malco Automotive plays a vital role in empowering the next generation. Team Sahlen – Endurance Racing Team
Since 1984, Team Sahlen has had a rich history in endurance racing with over 125 victories, 12 diver championships, and over 325 podiums. The team's racers put in over 100+ hours going around the track every season. And with these many hours of racing, the team's Porsches tend to get very, very dirty. Starting in 2024, Team Sahlen is partnering with Malco® Automotive to provide the entire race team with detailing products to keep their cars looking good on and off the track.
Live Fast Motorsports
Malco Automotive proudly serves as the Official Detailing Products supplier for the NASCAR Cup team Live Fast Motorsports and Xfinity team BJ McLeod Motorsports. The collaboration with Live Fast Motorsports commenced in 2021 when team co-owner Matt Tifft, a long-time friend of Malco President Seth Glauberman's, reached out to Malco for support. Since then, Matt, BJ, and their entire teams have placed their trust in Malco Automotive products to ensure their cars are race-ready every weekend from February to November. Supporting owner Matt Tifft and owner-driver BJ McLeod in their pursuit of victory is a genuine honor for the entire Malco organization.
Lake Erie Walleye Trail & Fall Brawl
Starting in the 2023 season, Malco Automotive and Presta Marine proudly became the official automotive and marine detailing partners for the Lake Erie Walleye Trail and the annual Walleye Fall Brawl. This non-profit organization governs fishing tournaments throughout the Lake Erie region, including some large-stakes championship prizes. Malco and Presta generously sponsor the season, providing competitors with top-quality products to ensure their boats and tow rigs stay clean and ready to reel in the big one.
Historic Racing Legend "Ohio" George Montgomery
Malco Automotive's history with racing dates to the late 1950s, when Malco founder Murray Glauberman agreed to be the primary sponsor for "Ohio George" Montgomery and his 1933 Willys race car. Malco continued to sponsor George throughout his career as a seven-time U.S. Nationals Drag Racing winner and was honored to attend his induction into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America in 2021. Malco continues to celebrate this partnership and George's legacy.

A History of Service, Growth, Expansion and Manufacturing
Malco® Products, Inc., located in Akron, Ohio, was founded by Murray Glauberman at age 25 to manufacture Janitorial and Industrial Specialty Chemicals
Malco moved to Barberton, OH, where the global headquarters remains today.
Stuart Glauberman joined the family business after graduating Carnegie Mellon University with a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Jay Glauberman joined his father and brother pursuing a career in the family business.
Acquired Whiz® Auto Chemicals, oil and fuel additives, from Classic Chemical, and the Climalene® Brand of Products, including, Climalene®, Bowlene®, Soft N Fade® and Cool Blue®, from Northwest Industries.
Malco purchased the Firestone Synthetic Plant in Akron, Ohio from Firestone Tire, to allow for further growth in contact manufacturing, focusing on bleach and liquid specialty chemical manufacturing.
Murray Glauberman, Founder and President of Malco Products, Inc., passed away after a brief battle with cancer. Stuart Glauberman took over as President and Jay Glauberman as Vice President.
Malco expanded once again and purchased a new facility in Alliance, OH, focusing on the manufacturing of granular products and contract powders.
Malco implements the QIT (Quality Improvement Team) process, that continues to this day.
Malco purchased the Twinkle® Trademark from SC Johnson, adding Twinkle® silver, brass and copper, and stainless steel cleaners and polishes to the household cleaning products portfolio.
nuSoft® Fabric Softener and Linit™ Liquid Starch are added to the consumer line of household cleaning brands.
Jay Glauberman, son of Murray Glauberman, and brother to Stuart Glauberman, passed away at age 51. Jay, was an integral part of the third generation of leadership that led Malco for many years. His service and dedication to the Greater Akron community, Malco’s employees, his family, and the effort he put forth to build the proprietary brands at Malco, left our organization with a legacy of pride and accomplishment.
Seth Glauberman joined the company to become the first of the fourth generation of Glaubermans to work at Malco.
Purchased Zud® Cleanser from Reckitt Benckiser. Purchased Bluette® Laundry Bluing from Homax. Acquired Grease relief® from S.C. Johnson.
Lauren (Glauberman) Osina joined her brother in the next generation of leadership at Malco Products.
Licensed Jubilee® Kitchen Wax from SC Johnson. Jubilee® was SC Johnson’s most requested, discontinued product until Malco brought it back into distribution.
Launched the EPIC® and PACE™ Dual Action Compounding Systems. The Malco® EPIC® product lineup is composed of select, premier products that address paint correction, trim restoration, ceramic coating and interior surface protection.
Stuart Glauberman retires, and Seth Glauberman becomes the 4th Glauberman to be President of Malco Products, Inc.
Malco becomes the exclusive manufacturer and supplier of both Carpet Fresh® No Vacuum Quick Dry Foam Aerosol products and Carpet Fresh® Powder, licensed from WD-40 Company.
Malco expands its manufacturing capabilities with the addition of wipes production technologies.
